In 2005, Public Art Saint Paul launched the City of St. Paul’s Public Artist Residency. The resident works from a base in the Public Works Department and is a member of city staff and Saint Paul Design Center teams that plan and design the public realm. In addition to a residency stipend, each artist is also given a $50,000 grant to develop a streetscape project based upon insights gleaned during the course of the residency. |
