| As Saint Paul built its new convention center in the 1990’s, the Civic Center Authority worked with Public Art Saint Paul to commission artworks integrated into the building’s central spaces. Philip Larson’s Fish Eye Perspective of the Mississippi: Sunrise is the rotunda’s 5300 square foot terrazzo floor, installed by Grazzini Brothers and Company. The National Terrazzo and Mosaic Association gave the work a national Honor Award in 1998. Larson also created the RiverCentre’s sculptural light fixtures found in the rotunda and along river view corridors. |
