The gateway to Harriet Island Park on the Mississippi River features work by artists Anne Klefstad and Jeffrey Kahlstrom: a powerful bronze flood wave that bursts through the opening in the levee. On the abutting ceramic walls, the flood’s wake has left artifacts of Saint Paul’s West Side and Island history. Annually, the Park welcomes 1 million visitors.
Nearby information kiosks feature work carved in stone by artist Craig David, depicting the history of West Side neighborhood development.
