Sculpted by Ignatius Traschner in Berlin and installed in Como Park in 1907, this bronze sculpture of the celebrates German poet Johann Christof Frederich von Schiller.  Over 100 years later, it is in need of substantial cleaning and restoration.  With support from the Germanic American Institute and Saint Paul Parks and Restoration, Public Art Saint Paul will undertake a complete cleaning and restoration in September, 2008.
